Peony necklace in oxidized sterling silver (one of a kind)

I made this life-sized peony flower by hand in wax, forming each petal individually and assembling them into the final unique sculpture. There will never be another exactly like it, and I have no plans to make more peony flowers in the foreseeable future.

Cast directly from the wax original in solid sterling silver that has been partially oxidized to enhance the details. Suspended from a 3.1mm sterling silver patterned oval cable chain.

Please note that this is a heavy necklace; the pendant weighs 83 grams.

Pendant measures approximately 2" in diameter and is 3/4" at its thickest point.
