Megachiroptera necklace in sterling silver (bat rescue fundraiser)

A large fruit bat, cast in solid sterling silver that has been partially oxidized.
Suspended from a sterling silver 3.5mm oval patterned chain, each bat is set with a natural, ethically sourced fair trade gemstone.

Current stones available are faceted Arizona amethyst, raja garnet, black spinel, as well as purple chalcedony cabochon.

Bat measures just under 4" from wingtip to wingtip.

20% of the price of this piece will go directly to Pennsylvania Bat Rescue, one of the only licensed rehabilitation facilities that specialize in the treatment, care and maintenance of bats in PA. Their efforts include outreach, education, and sanctuary for rescued and injured bats. They are also partnered with Bat World Sanctuary to serve as a future rescue center to receive fruit bats rescued from the cruel, exotic pet trade, zoos, and aquariums in the Northeast.
