The labrys originated in ancient Greece, where it was associated with goddesses and female warriors. In the 1970s, it became a symbol of women's empowerment, political queerness, and sapphic culture.

20% of the price of this piece will go directly to the Audre Lorde Project.

Axe pendant is cast in solid, partially oxidized sterling silver, and measures 1 15/16" long and 1 1/4" at its widest point. It is suspended from a 2mm sterling silver patterned oval cable chain.

This pendant is also available in sterling silver suspended from a 2mm nickel-free stainless steel ball chain. Please note chain length up to 30" in checkout.
