Guardian ring in sterling silver, gold, or bronze

This piece is handmade to order and will take 2-4 weeks to ship. Bronze rings are preorders and will take 6-8 weeks to ship.

Lion statues have adorned the entrances of temples, palaces, and tombs throughout the world. They act as guardians in locations as disparate in time and distance as the Forbidden City in Beijing, the New York Public Library, and the necropolis of Saqqara in Egypt, on which this ring is loosely based.

Originally hand-carved in wax, this heavy, sculptural piece is cast in your choice of sterling silver, yellow bronze, 10k gold, or 14k rose, yellow, or white gold.

The rectangular base on which the guardian lounges measures 3/4" long by 1/2" wide. Lion measures 1/2" tall.

A NOTE ABOUT BRONZE: Rings cast in bronze are raw; they have no coating or protective layer of any kind. Bronze has a high copper content, which makes it reactive to its environment and to skin. The risks inherent to bronze jewelry may include tarnishing, temporary skin discoloration, and allergic reactions.
